How old I am?
It depends...I am 10 years old when there are no problems or thoughts about tomorrow.I am 15 years old when I control my phone in hope that someone texted or called me or when I go somewhere without telling my parents.I am 18 years old when I'm doing something because I feel free to do it.I am 20 years old when I feel lost.I am 30 years old when I'm sure I can do it all alone.I am 70 years old when I feel alone and I wish everyone would be with me.I am 100 years old when I'm feeling helpless and powerless...And sometimes it's hard to decide how old I am..

I'm moody, annoying, immature, overwhelming, and unpredictable
Could I just be free of my thoughts just for a little while?
Just unplug my mind to release every exhausting subconscious feeling that is held inside.
"I lay beside a lake full of cool, thick, sweet water. I dive in and my body turns dark and shadowy. I can't rinse the water off. It covers every inch of me. Inside and out."

Nothing
Go to sleep and close your eyes,
And dream of broken butterflies
That tore their wings against a thorn.
You know the pain that they have endured
Silver metal shine so bright
Scarlet blood that feels so right.
Dream of that blood trickling down,
And wake up just before you drown.
The moonlight shining off your tears
As you bleed out your worst fears.
And dream of broken butterflies

Silver metal shine so bright
Scarlet blood that feels so right.

Self-Injury Awareness Day
Self-Injury Awareness Day-March 1st
Myth: People who cut and self-injure are trying to get attention.
Fact: The painful truth is that people who self-harm generally do so in secret. They aren’t trying to manipulate others or draw attention to themselves. In fact, shame and fear can make it very difficult to come forward and ask for help.

Myth: People who self-injure are crazy and/or dangerous.
Fact: It is true that many people who self-harm suffer from anxiety, depression, or a previous trauma—just like millions of others in the general population. Self-injury is how they cope. Slapping them with a “crazy” or “dangerous” label isn’t accurate or helpful.
Myth: People who self-injure want to die.
Fact: Self-injurers usually do not want to die. When they self-harm, they are not trying to kill themselves—they are trying to cope with their pain. In fact, self-injury may be a way of helping themselves go on living. However, in the long-term, people who self-injure have a much higher risk of suicide, which is why it’s so important to seek help.
Myth: If the wounds aren’t bad, it’s not that serious.
Fact: The severity of a person’s wounds has very little to do with how much he or she may be suffering. Don’t assume that because the wounds or injuries are minor, there’s nothing to worry about.

41% of people believe that self-harm is selfish.
55% of people believe that it is stupid.
43% of people know someone that has self-harmed.
1 in 10 people have harmed themselves by the age of 16.
Self-harm does not make you suicidal.
It does not make you emo.
It is simply a way that many use to rid themselves of stress or pain or whatever it may be.
Over 3 million people in the US have self-harmed or still do.
Cutting is not just a girl’s disorder.
Anyone can do it.
Males, females, and persons that don’t fit into the gender binary.
And it is not just teens, either.
Both Princess Diana and Johnny Depp have gone through it.
The person who always seems “so happy” could be victim to it.
Anyone.
There are other forms of self-harm besides cutting or mutilation.
Some people don’t realize they’re doing it.
Some people don’t think it’s wrong.
Some people become addicted.
People don’t hide their cuts or marks hoping someone will find them
…unless they actually want help to get better.
It’s often hidden because they’re afraid of someone seeing.
An orange ribbon is used as a self-harm awareness symbol.
Those suffering from it..
…have been through it
…or support it
often wear one.

Sometimes all people want to know is that they’re not alone.
Don’t judge someone based on the marks they have on their arms.
You don’t know what they’ve been through.
Rather, be proud of them for making through it.

This is
the last night
you'll spend alone
I'll wrap you in my arms
and I wont let go
I'm everything
you need me to be..
you'll spend alone
I'll wrap you in my arms
and I wont let go
I'm everything
you need me to be..

Disappointment
You were so little and fragile When I picked you up,
You said you remembered I told you so
Squealed you’re sorry (like a pup).
That you’re never gonna leave me
That you’re staying till the end,
But I turn away from you now
Got no time for your descend.
And it’s not like someone asked me-
To take care of you and stuff,
But the feel of being needed
Made me forget that things are rough.
I can’t say that I restored you,
Now that you’ve closed the door,
But I spent my time and energy
Picking your pieces up from the floor.
But I guess that’s just the way it is in life, isn’t it?
People will come, and people will go
And you have no right to question that
Just smile and tell yourself, you told you so.

Don't act like you understand
Telling someone with depression to "just get over it and be happy"
is like telling someone with a broken leg to run to a hospital.
Telling someone with an eating disorder to "just eat"
is like telling someone with claustrophobia to get inside a small cupboard and lock the door.
Telling someone who self-harms to "just stop doing it"
is like telling a drug addict to sit in a room full of drugs and touch nothing.
How can you judge what you don't understand?

Life is a Beautiful Struggle
Maybe the only reason we're longing for someone is because we can never feel safe being alone.
Or maybe it's just hard to embrace our brokenness when these invisible horrifying thoughts run through our mind thats maiming our ability to feel complete.
Maybe..It's just you're realizing that you exist in a world where it's possible for you to not exist.
